TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN CONTAMANA LORETO

Contamana is a city in eastern Peru located on the banks of the Ucayali river under the shade of red dirt hills, in the Department of Loreto. For some travelers is how to get to the heart of the Amazon, with the nature, people and the environment which impress the visitors. 

According to historical data, this city was founded in 1807, is the eponymous capital city of Contamana, where nature is virgin with various places that tourists should know. Its main tourist attractions are the Forest of macaws, huge lakes with their disturbing dolphins, the wide variety of wildlife, wildlife steaming volcanic hot springs and deep and wide Ucayali River, a tributary of the Amazon River. 


There are two ways to reach the destination of our country, first is taking the quickest and shortest route between Lima-Pucallpa Contamana. De Lima to Pucallpa is one hour flight to Pucallpa and second Contamana is taking a plane flight delaying arrive 30 minutes. You will also get to Contamana browsing the Ucayali River aboard large sailing ships delaying 18 hours of hammock.

Most travelers arrive at the port only for a short time and lost the true charm of the place inside yourself. Enter the city for the Centennial arc which in turn is a sculpture in the middle of stunning boardwalk considered the largest in the Peruvian Amazon. 

This city is considered as the most important economic corridor Pucallpa-Iquitos intermediate port. It is precisely here that the main trade with the city of Pucallpa is performed, using the river environment with medium-sized vessels. 

This beautiful city in the Peruvian Amazon was the inspiration for the Peruvian singer and composer Luis Morals. The song "Contamana" is one of the classics from his extensive discography.
